Banana Spice Bread
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- 1-1/2 teaspoons Dynasty Chinese Five Spices
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt, optional
- 3 ripe, medium bananas, mashed
- 2 eggs
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Combine flour, sugar, walnuts, five spices, baking soda and salt; set aside. Mix bananas, eggs, oil and vanilla extract in large bowl until blended. Add flour mixture; mix until all is combined. Turn into 9 x 5-inch loaf pan that has been coated with cooking spray. Bake in 350?? F. oven l hour, or until wooden pick inserted into center comes out clean. Remove from oven. Cool 5 minutes. Turn loaf onto wire rack to cool completely.
Makes about 18 (1/2-inch) slices.
